Chairman's Council

Honoring the Spirit of Philanthropy

The Chairman's Council is a special philanthropic society established by the Trustees of the ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation to honor the outstanding commitment of donors who give $1,000* or more annually to support health care in eastern Connecticut.

At the ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation, we honor our friends and partners in our mission for supporting all of the facilities associated with Eastern Connecticut Health Network.

Through a generous contribution, we can make a real and tangible difference in enhancing the quality of local health care-and quality of life-for all the residents of eastern Connecticut and beyond.

The Chairman's Council is our way of saying thank you to these very special friends. The co-chairs of the Council are Jeff Heidtman, chairman of the ECHN Board of Trustees, and Hap Fitts, chairman of the ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation.

Helping to Build our Future

With an annual commitment comes a special level of recognition as a member of the Chairman's Council and an integral philanthropic supporter of our local health care system.

A contribution will benefit the ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation's unrestricted fund, serving the greatest needs of our patients. These gifts are disbursed appropriately for expansion, program enhancement and new services including:

Providing high-quality health care offers many challenges. Traditional methods of care are giving way to innovative new approaches. As health care providers, we must be able to remain responsive and creative in finding new and better solutions to complex medical needs.

Members of the Chairman's Council are recognized for contributions in print publications including the annual report and in online listings that illustrate support for the health and well-being of our entire community.

In gratitude and appreciation for their vital and generous support, members are provided a number of special privileges.
